pad sensitivity

I don't have a standard kit and I am getting some "cross talk" is it called? Sometimes one trigger triggers the others. I am not sure if this is the way my pads are built or if I can change the trigger sensitivity in the megadrum manager...
I don't know a lot about midi but I can see my pads are hitting and they have specific midi note numbers. How does that correlate with the input names "hihat", "kick", "Tom" in the "Pads section of megadrum manager etc.?
How do I figure out which pad I am changing? I don't see the midi note number in the pad section.
Is there a manual for megadrum manager?

I have firmware version 20100613. Is that one with an encrypted bootloader? Can I update it?
