I would like to describe small solution and a powerful utility of the latest pic firmware.

This is a small demostration to show you how to use MegadrumManager ( to change parameters etc ) and recording midi mapping with your sampleVst in a daw at the SAME time ( in my case Cubase )

The combination facilitates the configuration of pad, specially to setting the dualMidpoint/dualmidWith for dual zone pad, see more crosstalks error, triggering suppression , what happen for the multi switch of cymbal to take 2or 3 zone etc.





In my case i've opened first the megadrum manager--->options---> select "megadrum usb"

Click " Open Midi" and "GetAll" to load from MD all parameters

After this i've open the daw, go to midi setting---> disable the Midi Called "megadrum usb" ( already in use ) , select instead " Megadrum USB 2 " and click ok.

With this configuration you can see all the midi log from your MD and recording the session at the same time.

I realy like this solution, I hope this can be of help to resolve all the errors midi.

This is exactly why I added support for two USB MIDI interfaces into PIC firmware.

Hi!
I might be just stupid, but I red this post yesterday...and did not get the real idea to record both the MDM/MD data and actually the drum hits...at the same time. (I am using the midi monitor to track errors - but real time etc..)

So my question - What could you do in the next step when you have the recorded information in Cubase??

Yes, I am guessing that you could see the midi data...but could it be used it to backtrack good MD settings afterwards?

The following steps do not require certain procedures, mine was just an example to show the potential firmware with a dual MIDI interface.

I have the habitude to change the settings from Pc (not from the buttons / encoders), the process is easier because i can load / save a previous or next configurations with one click and i can see immediately what happens with triggers.
