Where do you look at HighLevel values after hitting pads, on the MegaDrum or in MDM?

I expected them to be automatically updated in the pad's HighLevel field in MDM.
Having the Highlevel Auto tick there too kind of suggested it to me.

But after you asking me this question I get the feeling I should have looked at the HighLevel menu item on the MD's display?

Or in MDM load configuration from MegaDrum after hitting pads.

Well I can confirm all is well in MD, and MDM is not updating.

So what I do is set AutoLevel to Yes, hit a few times and see HighLevel updating on the MD display.
Then I set AutoLevel to off and Highlevel remains at the level it was in MD.

After saving the config on MD and cycling power on it the settings I just set remain, but they don't update in MDM after pressing the 'Get All' button in either the main window or the pads settings.

Anyway I'll change computers soon so I'm not sure if it's worth chasing this at this time. Perhaps it's one of those issues that will go away by itself after changing hardware.

I only wanted to confirm MD and my kit working at this point.

So another question: I can get ~950 highlevels with a gain of 2-4 on all pads and the pots maxed.
For the rims I get ~500 highlevel with gain 8 on the rims. Is this ok or I better change the design/location of those 35mm rim piezo's to get higher highlevels with lower gain settings?

If you use MIDI over USB, once you power cycled MegaDrum you must reconnect MDM to MegaDrum.

There are many posts in the forum explaining optimal HighLevels.
