which sortware to use with 56 input MD module

Postby VipeR » Mon Apr 29, 2013 7:09 am

Hey Guys,

I'm just starting with my 56 input arm based md module.

I was wondering however which software i should get to fully use these 56 inputs. I've been looking into addictive drums, and ez drummer, but they only seem to support a limited number of inputs.

A little help for the noob please...

regards,

nope,

I was just wondering.

I also want to build a set up with two snares. I also want to ad a set of 4 octobans to my kit. Along with 4 toms, that seems to be a problem.

It is possible to run two instances of for an example Addictive Drums in VSThosting apps like VSTHosts. You can send it on from MD on midichannel 10 of the first instance and on midichannel 11 for the second instance. Then you get twice the amount of drums...

I run Toontrack Superior Drummer 2.x with The Metal Foundry SDX. Superior Drummer lets you add more drums to your setup and assign different note's to each pad. I have used it with double bass, double snare, seven toms, double high-hat's, and a enormous arrangement of crashes for real time play and it worked on my setup without fail. I did have to get a new sound card to get it to work in this fashion; however, it will perform with the right hardware. I am sure their must be other programs out their that will host a large arrangement as well. When I priced out VST to host drum samples the Toontrack Superior Drummer 2.x was the least expensive solution for the large arrangement that I wanted to run it under.
