Hi-hat pedal > sysex error

Postby bertbertbertbert » Thu Sep 19, 2013 9:58 pm

Hey all,
when i want to send or recieve the ''hihat pedal'' data from megadrum manager (version 20130405) i get a sysex error (in red, above the lcd settings). Sending or recieving other data (pads) no error occurs.

I read something on the forum about it but no solution. Does somebody know a solution?

Thanks!

I answered it already several times. You must use latest firmware version with latest MDM version.

Thanks dmitri. Updated them both to 20130901, it seems to work sometimes now. However i get more 'sysex timesouts' then before. Is there a way to solve this? I tried different usb cables, usb inputs on my pc and sysex delay in the options.

1. How often did you get 'sysex timesouts'?
2. How often do you get ''sysex timesouts'?
3. What OS and PC do you use?
4. Can you easily re-produce the problem?

1. almost never, let's say once a 25 times
2. Everytime since i installed the new firmware. 20-30 times?
3. Windows 7 ultimate on AMD athlon 64 x2 dual core processor tk-55, 1.80GHz
4. What do you mean by reproducing the problem?

The sysex timeouts happen only with 'send all' and 'send all pads'.

I have just tested it twice (on a PC and a Mac). Did a few dozens of 'send all' and 'send all pads' along with dozens of 'get all' and 'get all pads' and I only got one 'sysex timesout' right after I reduced default 'Sysex delay' from 15ms to 10ms (on a PC only) but after that I could not get 'sysex timesout' again.
I did the tests on a Windows 7 i5 laptop and on a Macbook Pro 2011.
The trouble is that if I don't know the cause of the problem I can do very little to fix it. For me the best way to find the cause of the problem is to be able to reproduce it.

Okay, I can send the parameters 1 by 1 also, so for now that's fine. Thanks for your quick response!
