upgrade firmaware of atmega 56 (syntex )

HI Folks
I would like to update the firmware of my megadrum 56 (to buy back two years ago to syntex) to a current version because I need more degrees of crosstalk (I have the 20100613 firmware and there are only 3)
Somebody can help me? I never use a MGM
I'm a little outdated and I apologize if this topic has already been discussed.

I dont understand very well if the procedure described in the on the link works well in the atmega 644 firmware version 20100613 (bought to sinthex)
sorry for the comment but I want to be sure to make this operation so dificult for me

If your firmware version is 20100613 which means you have an Atmega644 with the protected bootloader so you definitely can use this procedure.
