Minimum and recommended system requirements MAC / WIN

Postby sixbras » Thu Jul 21, 2016 4:56 pm

Hi,

I play for a (too) long time on my Yamaha DTX and I plan to order my megaDrum Lite Kit this week.
I would like to buy a small compact PC (may be Intel Nuc) dedicated to my drum's kit, to handle MD manager and Superior Drummer 2 or any other expander software.

What is the minimum/best size for the screen resolution ? Do i need DVD drive ? HD/SSD ? And about audio internal/external audio card, is it optionnal ?

Any help welcome.

MDM runs on next to nothing, SD or any other VST - I would check with them individually

Resolution is up to you, A DVD drive is always useful, and, yes, budget for an external audio card.

Thanks airflamesred

If i plan to play at home with my band, and on stage for some occasions, does a "standard" audio card (Sound Blaster X-Fi HD USB SBX, AUDIGY RX, or Xonar Essence STX) a good option ?
Is it a better idea to save my money and wait for a more "pro" audio interface ?

It's not so much pro as being more versatile. I use a focusrite 2i2 which is about £100 but you can plug mics or a guitar perhaps, depends on your needs. The gaming cards are aimed at gaming computers.
