New User getting started

Postby matthewordie » Tue Sep 13, 2016 5:51 pm

Hi! Just got my megadrum, I'm excited to get going. I got my unit used, the settings the last user had aren't really working for my setup. I'm getting sidestick sounds when I hit anything. (Using superior drummer 2 btw). And a few other weird things.

Also I was looking at these maps:http://www.megadrum.info/forums/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=2553

It seemed like they were meant to go into Addictive drums and not megadrum directly or am I wrong? It would be nice if I could import some quick default settings into my unit to get started and expand from there. Is there a way I can do that?

I have a Roland TD-9 Kit for the most part with a VH-11, CY-15R and KD-120 upgrades.

Edit: So I see that the Rom Kits are the Megadrum settings to get going. I still can't figure out how to load them. Any help on this would be immensely appreciated!

Firstly, Welcome to the forum.
There is (and rightly so) no plug an play with MD, It is, however, quite quick an easy to program.

When it comes to the notes you'll have to refer to Superior for that.
Once you have that all good you can put the Roland module on Ebay!

koby drums - Triggera krigg/Bix - megadrum - Kontakt........... Samples from all and sundry.

Ya I know it's not specifically plug and play. That's why I was hoping I could import someone else's config who's already gone through the process. Seems like that's possible according to that video you sent. That was very helpful thank you!
