Alternate and pressroll notes

Postby angr77 » Tue Nov 29, 2016 5:44 am

Hi All!

I was testing some equipment (my e-cajon) with a built in MegaDRUM module, a 72 MHz Arm and the 20160529 firmware and had real problems on some triggers.

It turned out that if setting pressroll and alternate notes to 0 disabled....the problems starts. It triggers occasionally. It seems like that You must set these notes as the same notes as the mastermain note to get it working ok.

Was this how it was supposed to work?

Best regards

If you use neither pressroll nor alternating notes then you must set them equal to the main Note to disable them. Setting them to 0 will just send MIDI Note 0 on pressrolls or alternating hits.

Ok. Thats fine. But agree - it looks strange in MDM...that you click "disable" on these function...but the function continues and it sends 0 instead.

Do you follow the logics?

Yes, I agree. The reason is that I use the same UI class to present notes and it is programmed to behave identically, i.e. to show 'Disabled' when a note is set to 0.
