Yes, the first testing day. Now i'm afraid that if i uncheck this option, i will be forced to re calibrate hat pedal. I noticed they are correlated.

They are indeed correlated.

dmitri wrote:I just tested AltFalseTrSupp and it looks like I introduced a bug in one of the latest firmware versions - it indeed misbehaves. Thanks for reporting it and I will look into it.

Pleased to be usefull! :D
Let me know when are you going to repair FW, i think that with that algo working, i would stop the troubles. I hope.

I already posted a new firmware version which fixes the bug.

dmitri wrote:I wasn't saying it's bad. As I said before, settings names between different modules makes may appear the same but the same values on those settings are not interpreted the same internally - minscan 1.2 in Roland may actually correspond to MinScan 30 in MegaDrum if at all they do the same thing.

I know, i know. But again, still perfect: no false trig, high sensibility, consistency and low latency (sob!) But even no real rimshots and PS...(sob sob!)

PD-125X half wave is around 4-6ms (Drumtec 14" snare even up to 8ms) so I'm sure MinScan is measured differently (or from different signal points) in Roland and MegaDrum. Also, if you still experience level inconsistency it would be useful to record the signal from the pad (it is possible to do with a sound card) and I will be able to feed the signal to MegaDrum to test. I did such test more than a year ago - viewtopic.php?p=11120#p11120 (it is in Russian though) - and with the same level input signal MIDI signal velocity variation was +-1-2.

About MIDI, i,m sure i have no loops, the flow is very simple:

SPDS-----MD midi in------MD usb midi----Edrum monitor-----MIDI Vcable-----cubase Addictive (track midi in=the Vcable used). I work with MIDI from my commodore64 in the 80's and i builded trees of expander with more intricated connections...
When the bad things happen, they affect some MD parameters so i have to reload the config 1.
Is it possible to disable sysex communication if needed?

Please start another topic with the description of the problem - I need to reproduce it to be able to fix it.

You are the man Dmitri. A new firmware within 24 hours! Thank you so much.
I'm going to dowload it.

About MIDI issue, i'm going to check it more scientifically in order to exclude it may be a Windows MIDI fault. It sometimes happens using MDManager with MIDI thru active. Then i'll open a new thread.
In the mean time how can i disable sysex comm? Don't answer "with a new firmware" cause i don't want to involve you with another 24h valid firmware!! May be you can include this option on the next big improvement. ;)

I didn't mind to tell you that i had better triggering results tuning up the mesh. I know other users had opposite experience...(mumble)

I don't quite understand what you mean by "disable sysex comm, e.g. which Sysex, in what direction and so on. Describe what you want to achieve (a feature request) in a separate topic, e.g. like it's done in viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1518&start=0. If it's trivial to implement I will add it in the next firmware version. If it is not trivial but there is support for this feature from other MegaDrum users and it is doable I'll do it but maybe a bit later.

You're right!
One step at a time.
Only one question: with the new fw i'm able to recall my actual config if i have saved it in MDM file?

Hi Dmtri. I'm going to give up.
I'm a funky/acid jazz drummer, so i can't go without my friing rolls!! And i'm aimed to use MD for gig.

Tonight i upgraded MD. Engaged AltTrigSup, disengaged AllGains low and tweaked a lot. But no way. Still better without Alt Trig, still a way better through my Rolly converter+Edrum mon.
I'm thinking about recording the "sound of my mesh", feeding it to Md and then Roland, recording the relative triggered sounds, putting the tracks in sync (so i guess 4 tracks: mesh cone, mesh edge piezo, MD Addictive out and Roland Addictive out) and finally sending all to you.
May be on weekend, cause i think i'll need time to set the right levels from the recorder to simulate the actual piezo output.
So, if you kindly would, you should analyze and comment.
Your hopefull Daniele.

Fool question: Have you got Audition? Or better a Cubase session?

In the mean time, see me here :

Already done. i wish i could have a snare (and all the kit) like this:

Then i'll send 4 single wav files.

Hi Dmitri, as i promised, 1 stereo file and 2 mono file (mp3), they are:

DIY 13mesh pad: The sound of my mesh L=center R=edge sensor (used only with
ROLAND+EDRUM triggering)

MEGADRUM: Addictive Snare output triggered by MD

ROLAND+EDRUMMON: Addictive Snare output triggered by ROLAND and filtered by
EDRUMMONITOR.

Made with the best settings i found like the last i posted you but with this changes:
AlttrigSupp: off
Retrigger: 12
Dyn time: 32
Dyn lvl: 11
Thresh: 18
Minscan: 37
I also dampened the head with some yellow foam touching the head from inside of the drum.
I played some max velocity strokes, to set the right high level (about 800) then till 00:23, i played some crescendo, some diminuendo and some pressrolls hitting the center. After 00:23 i played the same articulations but near the edge of the head.

As you can ear:

1) PS is better achieved with MD :D
2) Roland is false trigger free and more accurate in dynamic detection, especially in the last roll with accents on the end of the file
3) MD has less latency :D than Rolly!! (You already knew...)

About point 2), i pray you to analize my mesh wave (L channel) and report to me if there's something strange in your opinion, thank you!

P.S. My file are too big also in mp3 (1 MB x file). Where may i post them to you?
