So, Anschluss 1 and Anschluss 2 are MIDI port names for MegaDrum USB MIDI under German Mac OS X?

From a console, what does 'java -version' show?

No, no, just run a command:

Code: Select all
java -version

in the console (Utilities->Terminal) and paste the output here.

In the MegaDrum menu what does AutoLoadConf show?

In the MegaDrum menu can you set Pedal Type to Pot and then try to use MDM again?

Set it to No. Wait until it exits from the menu to VU meters screen (to have this setting saved). Power off and on again.

No, not in MDM (MegaDrum Manager) but in the MegaDrum Menu (LCD) using buttons/rotary encoders.

After you set AutoLoadConf to No, power cycled, set Pedal Type to Pot (from the MegaDrum menu) try to use MDM again.

I've managed to test MegaDrumManager in Mac OS X 10.6.4 32bit running in VMWare Player.

Like some Mac users, I had a problem with MDM communicating with MegaDrum, i.e. not getting any settings from MegaDrum.

But the solution was already found by derbstens in viewtopic.php?p=17607#p17607

Mac OS X Snow Leopard or older: You have to install "Mandolane MIDI SPI" from http://mandolane.co.uk/
Once installed it will present to all Java programs an additional MIDI port for every existing external MIDI port (including MegaDrum MIDI ports) and you have to configure MDM to use these ports in MIDI In/Out.
After I did this MDM worked fine.

Mac OS X Lion users: Instead of "Mandolane MIDI SPI", install mmj from http://www.humatic.de/htools/mmj.htm. I tested it on Macbook Air with Mac OX X Lion and it worked.

I had the same problem just now, it seems megadrummanager.cfg is invalid. Just delete it so it can be re-created.

dmitri, here's the output:
