plug and play?

if i have you build me a megadrum, is it ready to simply plug into my computer and begin using with Logic? is any additional programing/configuring required?

As an USB device it is fully plug-n-play.
As a trigger device, you have to configure it yo meet your requirements:

You'll also need to figure out what sounds Megadrum will be triggering. Logic by itself doesn't have a useful drum sampler. You'll need something like BFD, Superior 2 or what not if you're interested in realistic sound. A hardware module like the Alesis DM5 would also work.

Well i am going to b using EXS 24 so would work fine right?

Excuse me for not being super familiar with EXS24. I think it will work for testing and having fun but I don't think you'll get natural playing feel out of that sampler. I think the traditional issue was lack of high quality samples for EXS but I believe Apple has included more format support and there are much better samples but I still question it's ability to provide natural feel as I know how much needed to be tweaked in BFD for us to get a natural playing feel with Megadrum...

Actually there will not be any other setting Needed , Because of Plug and play device Installed Automatically.
So, Attach Device and you will look this device at Right bottom of screen if you are using Windows.
