need help with "set all edge switch" for PCY 135

Hey! I am soooo sorry to post this. I know that this has been asked before. I did some searching in the forum for solutions but I just haven't been successful so far, but this forum has been incredibly helpful so far in every toubleshooing challenge I've had so let's go for one more!

I'm having trouble getting three zones out of my two PCY 135s. I read the whole setting up a yamaha three zone cymbal article in the documents section and I'm still having some trouble. The same process for set all bell switch seems to work for me but then when I try to do the same for edge switch it just doesn't seem to do anything.

Here is my setup so far. there are a few things in here that might look a little wonky set up wise (super high mid point) just because I was experimenting a little trying to get the edge hotter than the bow.

Right now when I hit the bell, I've got the bell. When I hit the bow, I've got bow. But when I hit the edge, I just get the bow.

Thank you so much again, you guys are awesome and when I'm through troubleshooting my issues I hope to pass it on by helping future new MD users whenever I get the chance!

Hi!

I have the PCY-150 in my library, which is a three way e-cymbal. You can have a look and see if your settings match these!

Can you delete screenshots from your post and post screenshots with standard resolution? It's impossible to see whole picture without scrolling around.
And also, please describe what the problem with the edge switch is.

okay, I'm really sorry about the resolution, I updated my OS and apparently that's the default, i shrunk it for this one.
So here is my problem in as few words as possible and where I'm at now.

thanks to angr77 and his library I loaded one of the PCY 150 pads into the MD.

I can get it (my pcy) to be 3 zoned by following all the steps in the documentation section BUT the second I mess with any settings whatsoever either one or both of the 2nd and 3rd zones disappear. Is that normal? Should I have to set all edge switch and set all bell switch every single time I restart MD or change settings? Thanks!

It depends on what you mean by 'mess with any settings'.
1. Take a screenshot of settings when all 3 zones are working.
2. Describe exactly what you change ('mess with any settings') which causes 2nd and 3rd zones to disappear.
3. Take a screenshot of settings after you made the changes in the previous step.

No. You can save working settings into a Config Slot and you can load these settings whenever you like or automatically load them on startup. See 'Save Config', 'Load Config' and 'AutoLoad Config' in http://www.megadrum.info/content/miscellaneous-settings

Btw, Threshold and Gain in red in the last screenshot means that these setting are out of sync between MDM and MegaDrum and this in turn means that you changed these two settings in MDM but you didn't send them to MegaDrum. Either don't forget to send changed settings to MegaDrum or enable LiveUpdates.

And one more thing. On switch inputs it's better to set Gain to 4 or above. That way you will get wider working Thresholds for switches' make/break detection.
