The only of these ports which relates to MD is the
- MegaDrum USB MIDI
- MIDIIN2 (MegaDrum USB MIDI)
These ports are equal meaning that you could run MDM (and send/receive what ever) on the first port and on the second port you could connect your VST/Drum plugin software like AD, SD or whatever. This will give you a chance to tweak the settings from MDM and at the same time be able to listen to the result in your drum software. If MD would have used the same port in this scenario for the two software...a nice crash would have occurred.
When you configure midi ports in MDM under options, Please use the same port for both input/output. (Checkbox)
TIP
If using softwares like Steinberg Cubase...select one of the ports for midi in....default is "ANY"...then you will get the midi information 2 times in Cubase...
If using midi thru in MD...any of the USB ports will take care of the midi send/receive for these plain midi in/out.
Suggestion
Use MegaDrum USB MIDI for MDM.
Use MIDIIN2 (MegaDrum USB MIDI) for your VST software.
The rest of the ports are generic Microsoft stuff.
