MegaDrum Configuration Not Persisting

As of 07/15/17 - I am running the latest MegaDrum Manager and firmware:

FW: 20170628
MDM: 20170522
Unit: STM32F205RCT6

1) Start up MDM
2) Set Midi in/out
3) Get All
4) Make change(s)
5) Send All
6) Shutdown MDM
7) Start up MDM
8) Set Midi In/Out
9) Get All
10) Confirm changes
11) Shutdown MDM
12) Power off MD
13) Power on MD
14) Start up MDM
15) Set Midi In/Out
16) Get All
17) Changes done in step 4 NOT there

What do I need to do to persist changes across MD power cycles?

As far as midi is concerned there is a 'save options on exit' box to tick on the options page.
The overall settings can be saved in MD (save to slot) or from within MDM with save as.

The save to slot thing does not work either. After powering off the MD unit, starting it back up still has the old values.

OK, I can get the settings to be saved if send all and then do a save to slot.

About 1 in every 5 or 6 power ons, the unit loads the default setup for a 18 input system. Does anyone know why it does this? Not a major issue, but I have to to a manual load for slot to get the settings back.
