MuteHit in SuperiorDrummer3 - (Sys: ARM STM32F205RCT6)

Hi Dmitri,
i have a problem with the SuperiorDrummer3 - MuteHit.
This MuteHit can be triggered with the DampenedNote from MD with
1. Press and Hold Choke
2. Hit the Edge
3. Release the Choke
all fine - the MuteHit sound is played.
But: The next EdgeHits without pressing Choke are still MuteHits
not the expected Edge-Sounds...
that only changes when I press again the Choke.
Conclusion:
ChokedEdge / MuteHits are Locked as long as i Choke again to release.
I know at first its a problem in SuperiorDrummer3
because the NoteOff comes before Aftertouch-0 and SD3
can not assign the Aftertouch-0 to the Note (50).
But it seems that this can not be corrected by SD3.
Maybe you have an idea or workaround to solve this problem?
A Screenshot from SD3 describes the Problem > noteOff before Aftertouch-0.

Greetings from Germany

In MDMFX
1. When you press the edge and then hit the cymbal it shows DampenedNote in MIDI Log, right?
2. When you release the edge and then hit the cymbal again does it still show DampenedNote in MIDI Log?

Hi Dmitri,
Maybe in <Choke is missing the D1(D3)?
Or the <ReleaseChoke is not 0,001?

Greetings
Thx

Note Off for the Dampened Note is present and the next hit after the switch is released is detected as an edge hit so looks ok to me. Am I missing something?

Hi Dmitri.
No I dont think you are missing something.
As i wrote i think its mainly an (maybe buggy) internal SD3 behaviour.

- Is it possible that the D3 NoteOff has to come before the ReleaseAftertouch? > for SD3

- Or the not 0.001 D3 ReleaseAftertouch > Maybe SD3 think its not Released with 0.019?
Is the 0.019 D3 ReleaseAftertouch correct?

Thx

I will first try to reproduce the behaviour and then will see if a NoteOff can be sent before Aftertouch release.

As far as I can judge from the MIDI Log, there is nothing wrong with what Notes MegaDrum sends. Am I missing something again?

Hi Dmitri,
In SD3 the "MuteTail" is controlled via aftertouch.
Since MD controls the "MuteHit" via aftertouch, there is obviously a collision.
SD3 can no longer differentiate between them.
In SD3 I have the option to control the MuteHit separately with my own CC value (In SD3 - CC channel is freely adjustable).
However, MD would have to send the DampenedNote on another CC-channel to make this possible...
So it would be nice (can be used as workarounds for various things)
if the DampenedNote could be set to an additional own CC-channel.
But be aware not to block the default-channel Aftertouch otherwise we lose the MuteTail.
Greetings from Germany.
Thx.

What is MuteTail?
