If you don't want or don't know how to use MIDI Yoke and MIDI-OX to try to troubleshoot the problem I would suggest to try MDM on another PC.

Well, it's not an issue of not wanting to use MIDI Yoke/-OX as much as simply not knowing how to use it. It's difficult to tell from MIDI-OX's site and description if it's a difficult and/or rather involved program to use or not. If it's a simple program that someone would be willing to walk me through, I'd be more than happy to use it to troubleshoot. Unfortunately I wouldn't even know where to start with it.

I'm assuming that because my soundcard/MIDI interface is a PCI card that's already installed in the current computer, I probably can't run the USB of the Megadrum from one computer and have the MIDI of the Megadrum connected to another...is that correct?

I'm just trying to figure out what may be the cause of the problem. To test MDM and MegaDrum on another PC you don't even need to have a sound card on it. Just connect MegaDrum to it and run MDM to see if they can talk to each other.

About MIDI Yoke and MIDI-OX. Look at http://www.megadrum.info/content/access ... ltaneously
It is a bit outdated but may help to get the idea how they both work.

Thanks Dmitri, I'll look at installing MIDI-OX/Yoke and setting that up. I'm assuming that it then gives some kind of display that indicates what kind of MIDI information is being communicated back & forth. I'll let you know when I get it running.

It's really quite easy to use. Fairly self explanatory. Midi Yoke is a very handy tool. It allows you to link midi stuff together easily.

After loading the last firmware update 160211 I got a strange problem, when I open MDM and hit a pad twice or more the midi monitor shows one hit in green (rim) and one in yellow (unknown).
In battery it also triggers every second hit, I didn't find a solution yet.

Do the configs in MDM and MegaDrum match, i.e. you either loaded settings from MegaDrum to MDM or vice versa, when you do this?

Hey Dmitri -
I got MIDI-OX/Yoke installed and configured the way your blog indicated. It is in fact registering strikes on pads. Would you prefer that I start a new thread to discuss how to use it to troubleshoot what's going on with MDM for me?

Maybe there's the problem, I loaded the mdm save file which I made before I updated the MD. When I try the MCT it shows all midi notes, but in MDM all inputs midie notes are set to 0.
I disabled all alt and press midi notes and tried to change the kick to 36 for example, I loaded the settings in the MD but in battery it still triggers one time the kick and one time all unsigned inputs in battery. Same with the other inputs. Could it be that there's now another bug with the altfalsetrigsupp because I always used it and this was also the reason why I loaded the last firmware?

The other settings seem to be correct.

[EDIT] two pics and a short vid where a input triggers in the 2nd row on the display of the md
http://www.vilemetalvids.com/upload/Ramsh/

I installed the new firmware again and now it switches between head and rim, sometimes the acoustic trigger trigger a very low 2nd time (also before the update) for that I just set battery that it won't trigger hits below a certain point.

It is a bit misleading in MDM (because it shows Disabled) but if you don't want to use Alt Note and Pressroll Note than they must match Note and not set to 0.
