I have made some tests regarding customnames...

Postby angr77 » Thu May 03, 2012 7:41 pm

But does this function actually work with the current firmware.

If I a edit the Custom01 name from the default name Custom01 to e.g Dingbat...press send in MDM...there is now way to get it visible on the MD when browsing after names. MD will still show Custom01. (The customname parameter is set to true)

Is it a bug...? Or have I missunderstood the function?

Yes - Of course. This is why I raised the question. Something is strange here.

Hi Dmitri!

Looks very nice!! And I can't see any new poblems - at least on my system. I have been saving and getting MD data from MDM a couple of times and verified the data on the MD. Looks great! And the custom name function is very nice!
For the audience: There is now a new MDM version available. 20120504 which will be autoloaded when starting MDM.

Dmitri,

I think i have seen one small bug in the new mdm. If i open a mdm file with custom pad names, without open the midi channel to MD and then step through the pads until I reach the pad with a custom name....the following Pads after when stepping futher, shows the same data and won't change...

No problem when md is attached.

I can't seem to go beyond 2 custom names. If I select 32 in the drop down I can configure those and save but it reopens with only 2.

koby drums - Triggera krigg/Bix - megadrum - Kontakt........... Samples from all and sundry.
