Strange Behavior after Update

Postby talrusher » Wed Sep 04, 2013 5:36 pm

Hi,

updated my megadrum32 atmega1024 to latest Firmware. rebooted megadrum, set alternate Encoders to true and my Inputs to 22 like before... then i tried to load my to Slot1 saved Settings and f... seems like megadrum go crazy.... many Inputs are triggering, all Settings are set to really crazy results... ex: latency 136 note off 500 and so on...

all my Settings are gone... whats that? remember, had it the first time, the update before this one...
Here I stand in the falling rain
There is no joy inside these tears
I see the world through a twisted and bitter stare
To be where I have been... to see what I have seen
Is it a dream?
Or can I believe...
The memories will haunt me for evermore

Sounds strange - Firmware version?

Talrusher - You are skilled...but dare I ask you if you did a backup in MDM of all the MD settings first, before upgrading. A firmware upgrade wipes everything in the MD. (To my knowledge)

I am using a ARM based MegaDRUM-32 with 2013-06-12 firmware. I have not had the chance to upgrade to 2013-09-01 yet.

You shouldn't load settings in a newer firmware version saved with an older firmware version in EEPROM - unexpected behavior is very likely. Use MDM to save settings between upgrades.
