I had a similar issue in SD. I just use the "Learn" function for each drum and adjust sensitivity in SD

I'll give that a try then. Do you have to learn every articulation? For example, on snare you select Center -> Learn -> hit center of pad, Edge -> Learn -> hit edge of pad, Rim -> Learn -> hit rim, etc.?
