MIDI port assign problem.

Postby bluewind » Sun Sep 07, 2014 11:58 pm

Hey! I just got my Megadrum up and running with my DIY e kit and I noticed that it would double trigger on any drum I attached it to so I checked MIDI monitor and it seems that it's getting one note on port 1 and one on port 2 even though I only have port 1 set up on the midi settings on Meagdrum manager. I'm sure there's something very obvious I'm not seeing.

on a related note, megadrum manager keeps crashing on my computer, I believe because I'm using the java version rather than the Mac version (i'm on osx 10.6.8) because when I tried to install the OS version it simply said, "cannot be installed on this computer." Anyone know why that might be? Thanks! Again, I'm a total noob on this so I'm sure I'm just missing something really obvious. Thanks!

(And thanks to Dmitri I can finally hear my DIY kit in action, I'm so happy I could kiss that man on the mouth if he weren't an ocean away!)

Configure your drum synth software to listen only on one MegaDrum MIDI port.

Too old OS X version?
Btw, there is no native Mac version of MDM, it is still java wrapped into installer.
