Surely mute hit is a sample, it may well have a small tail but no reason to be a separate sample (makes no sense as it would not be controllable )

koby drums - Triggera krigg/Bix - megadrum - Kontakt........... Samples from all and sundry.

Hi Dmitri,

MuteTail is:
- Hit Cymbal
- Press Choke
...Cymbal sound fades out

MuteHit is:
- Hold Choke
- Hit Cymbal
...a blocked Cymbal sound was played

MuteTail is Aftertouch controlled and works as expected.
MuteHit is (in SD3) a Note but MD sends Aftertouch messages
and in SD3 cause that a collision.
All following normal Cymbal Hits are still MuteHits.

In SD3 i can build a Aftertouch controlled MuteHit
but only if MD can send the DampenedNote Aftertouch messages on
there own Channels to avoid the colliosion on CC16.

Hope this explanation is clear enough - sorry my bad english...

Greetings from Germany

Would it be enough if Aftertouch messages (both On and Off) come only for bow/edge/bell Notes but never for DampenedNote ?

It seems to me that thd 2 separate samples are squarely aimed at being triggered from keyboard.

koby drums - Triggera krigg/Bix - megadrum - Kontakt........... Samples from all and sundry.

@Dmitri:
The problem is the Edge-Aftertouch.
I have set a MidiFilter (in Cantabile) to
Route the Edge(59)-Aftertouch
to something unused by SD3 and Voilá...
MuteHit works without any collisions.
Thx for patience

Please test this firmware version:
megadrumSTM32d_56_20200322.zip

It does not use Aftertouch for Dampened Note.

Hi Dmitri,
GOOD JOB - ;)
its working perfect for all 2zone Cymbals
and Yamaha 3zone Cymbals.

The Roland 3zone (2input-jacks) has no DampenedNote - right?
Is it possible to implement the DampenedNote
for this type of Cymbals?

Greetings...

I now officially released a new firmware (and MDMFX) version with the Aftertouch/Dampened Note change and with some other new features.
