At mega 1284

So I have this older version which I'm trying to run on Windows 10 but MFMfx does not want to play. Are they too old to be compatible? I have an older version of MDM but would prefer the W10 route.

What is not working with Atmega1284 and MDMFX?

It won't initialise. I've set the port but it's been a long time since and I've probably forgotten a lot.

The latest firmware version for Atmega1284 is 20200331.

Did you upgrade using MDMFX?
Maybe you select incorrect MIDI ports in MDMFX Options?

No, had to use mdfw update. The ports revert automatically to midi 2

When you 'Open MIDI' in MDMFX does the MIDI LED blink?
