Can not connect MDMFX to MD

Hello, anyone can help? I cannot get my MD52 firmware 20210520 version as arrived few weeks ago
to connect to MDMFX. I had it working only once one evening. Then next time had "SYSEX "*" TIMEOUT" messages.
I tried all the different option midi settings, 3 different cable sets, and on three separate PC's.
Re-installed Java & MDMFX several times. Still cannot connect. Getting frustrated.

It appears something with the hardware settings ? Does anyone know / had this problem / fixed.
What setting on the MD would prevent communication with MDMFX?

After further digging, I found the fix due to my own mis-adjustment.

Thou If your having similar MD / MDMFX No-Connects...
Also check the MD "SYSEX ChainID" setting...default is "0" and should match MDMFX's ID setting.

Mine was inadvertently maxed out to 256.

Feeling relieved to get on with learning the pad settings...
